The Reason I am a St. David's Parishioner

I​ am an older parishioner and have been a member of other churches in the past.  I was raised Methodist, married into Roman Catholicism and attended catechism with my children, went back to the Methodists, and now have settled into the Episcopalian Church.

Why St. David's?  I find that this church embodies the Good News of Jesus Christ who has forgiven us our sins because he so loves us.  The new commandments Jesus gave are all about loving; loving God and our neighbors.  This church is all about love and forgiveness.  This is good news for me.

I am a sinner.  I don't kid myself that I am anything different.  During my lifetime there are many things I need forgiveness for, big and small.  Every day I try to do better, and the collective energy at St. David's keeps me going on this path.  Here I feel love, forgiveness, optimism, joy, connection, happiness.
