The Women’s Ministry meets for occasional series. Sometimes the group does Bible study. One recent series was on “The Bad Girls of the Bible.” Sometimes the group gathers for fellowship, for a craft or a retreat. For more information, please contact Barbara Mickna through the Church office.
The Women's Book Club
The book chosen for the April meeting of the book club is “The Lincoln Highway” by Amor Towles, published in 2021. It is a Historical Fiction story chronicling three 18 year old boys on a journey through 1950’s America. The book club will meet to discuss it on Sunday, May 2 at 11:15.
Daughters of the King
The Daughters of the King is a religious Order for laywomen, more or less similar to my own Third Order of the Franciscans. The chapter in our Diocese is inviting interested women to learn more about them and to consider joining. They are hosting a discernment program this month by Zoom, probably in the evenings.
The first session will be an introduction to the Order. You can also learn more about them at the Order’s website: https:// www.doknational.org/. Let me know if you are interested. You can also contact Mariana Bauman, head of the local chapter, at 413-627-1945 (cell) or marianab@earthlink.net. It’s a great organization and a great group!
