Prayer Partners
People pray by name for their partner every day during Lent, and then send their partner a card on Easter. We’ll do sign-ups at Shrove Tuesday (2/17), but you can also participate by contacting Fr. Harvey before or after that date. To sign-up, please provide your name, your address (if different than what’s in the Book of Names), and (if you like) a specific prayer request.
Lent Madness
People vote each day on which of two saints they like best. You can find information about each saint and vote online at http://www.lentmadness.org/, beginning on February 19. You can also sign up there to receive daily emails about the saints, along with the ballot for the day. Mostly this is supposed to be fun, but the purpose is serious: learning about some of the heroes of our faith.
Complaint Free Lent
Wear a purple bracelet (or the equivalent) to help you remember not to complain. Bracelets will be available in the narthex. Put aside a little money each time you do complain. After Easter, donate the money to a good cause. If you want to donate through Saint David’s, we’ll send the money to Communities Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA), a group that supports local farmers and people who want fresh food
Women’s Retreat
From Surrender to Loving Service: Women’s Retreat at the Genesis Spiritual Life Center, Westfield, MA, led by Sandi Albom and Meredyth Ward; March 6-8; to register, click https://form.jotform.com/253355407151149
